My Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions card was taken from flat to oh-so-fine by using the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies to die-cut AND emboss.
The same Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies were used to die-cut and emboss the Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. You can see this demonstrated with my Tips for Embossing with Thinlits Dies tutorial here.
The embossed areas are raised filling in between the intricate lines of the flowers. Here’s the same card without the embossing, very attractive but flat when compared to the other.
It’s easier to see with the flat and oh-s0-fine cards side-by-side.
The embossing gives so much dimension that you even see what create a look a shadow for the flowers. The beauty is evident even with tone on tone.
The added dimension from the embossing is easier to see with my Stampin’ Up! Abstract Impressions card in Soft Sea Foam. Die-cutting and embossing from the same Thinlits die is a winner!
