A honeycomb background set against a warm yellow set the scene for a clean and simple Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee card.
The honeycomb die is smaller than the die-cut circle made with the Layering Circles Dies. The solution was easy. Adhere to the Daffodil Delight Cardstock several die-cut honeycomb pieces. Then, place the Whisper White Thick Cardstock over top to provide a place for the bee to land.
The elegant bumblebee was die-cut with a die from the coordinating Detailed Bee Dies. It’s nothing short of remarkable how well the die cuts out the image. Look at the antennas! The new Stampin’ Up! dies are so much easier to use and get results like this since they parted ways with Sizzix and have dies that fit the stamped Stampin’ Up! Honey Bee image.
The bee vapor trail was drawn with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Maker. I need more practice. 🙂
Stampin’ Blends Markers (listed below) were used to color the body and add a bit of color to the wings of the elegant bumblebee. Blue is used for wings and cold. How else would you color either?
Order the Honey Bee Bundle before it’s gone forever in my online store www.shopwithshelly.com. At best, it will be available through June 2, 2020, unless it sells out first!
