Canning jars were always used for canning until this city girl moved to the country at the age of 12. That was the first time I saw a family use canning jars as drinking glasses. There’s something quaint about it. Since that move more than 40 years ago, they have become popular for more than drinking glasses. One example is my handmade canning jar filled with flowers card using the new Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Stamp Set.
The flower stems are a separate stamp from the four flower bouquets in the stamp set. It works out well that you can stamp them in the jar or up to the flowers without the canning jar.
The coordinating Jar Punch made the placement easy as pie. I stamped the flower stems in the jar, punched it, and then placed the jar below the flowers.
