I remember my mom waking me up several times as a girl to show me a beautiful sunrise. It was always worth it. The new Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine Stamp Set reminds me of those mornings and a fantastic way to make sunshine cards.
You build the scene with several clear stamps that allow for easy placement and multiple colors. I started with the largest water stamp, inking it with Balmy Blue Classic Stampin’ Pad ink and then stamping on a piece of scrap paper to lighten the color before stamping on the piece of Whisper White Cardstock. The small water stamp was inked with the same color and stamped over top. Effective and attractive.
The entire scene was stamped again on a piece of paper (not cardstock) and trimmed with Paper Snips. Why paper? Because I used it to cover up the scene while using Sponge Brayers to roll on Crumb Cake Classic Stampin’ Pad ink for the sand and Balmy Blue again for the sky. That kept the sun from turning green and sand getting into the water. 🙂
The Stampin’ Up! Sending Sunshine Stamp Set is a DistINKtive stamp set. That’s the patent-pending process Stampin’ Up! has developed to make stamps with amazing detail and shading.
The scene is resting upon Early Espresso Cardstock and then on an embossed layer of Balmy Blue Cardstock embossed with the also new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder from the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.

It is beyond infuriating when your links lead to the entire catalog page AND THE SHIT THAT IS LINKED IS NOT FOUND,
The post is nearly three years old. Stamp sets and other products regularly retire, making them no longer available.
