This handmade greeting card is actually the third version of it. The same layout, colors, and flowers, the differences are the choice of how the dahlias are stamped. I’ll share the other two in another blog post soon. The funny thing is, I expected this version of my Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias card to be my least favorite. That’s how it goes sometimes during the designing process, right?
The asymmetrical oval was made with the new Layering Diorama Dies. That’s some sort of fancy happening there to dress up our handmade greeting cards. 🙂 Behind it is one of the patterns from the FREE-with-$50 order Beautifully Penned 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. It’s just one of the many free gifts with purchase during the Sale-a-bration Special ONLY through September 30, 2021.
I was pleased with my card design but decided a greeting would be nice. The “thank you Kindly” is included in the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set. Another of the Sale-a-bration FREE gifts with purchase.
Now that we had a greeting, it certainly called for some ribbon. The color-coordinating Just Jade 3/8″ Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack is a wonderful finishing touch.
The DistINKtive Stampin’ Up! Delicate Dahlias flower stamps were stamped with Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Pad ink. The shading and depth are simply remarkable. Those are the results you enjoy with the patent-pending process for manufacturing rubber stamps. What’s even more astounding is that Stampin’ Up! has been able to achieve the results with both their red rubber and photopolymer (clear) stamps.

Love this card Shelly. Did you stamp the outline first or the layering stamp?
Thank you! I find it easiest to do the outline first because it’s the darker ink.
