The large “Peace of Earth” greeting with the dove has a beautiful script font, dove, and message. I was trying to figure out how to use it without getting lost in what I thought would feel like clutter. Then, it hit me. Clean and simple was the way to go. My Stampin’ Up! The white embossing on the Night of Navy Cardstock is striking. The second handmade Christmas card idea adds a layer of Basic White Cardstock behind the Peace on Earth and is given a lift with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Which one do you prefer?

Stampin’ Up! used to carry the Embossing Buddy. It was retired years ago but still important when heat embossing, especially on dark cardstock. You rub it over the cardstock before stamping and sprinkling on embossing powder to dramatically reduce powder sticking everywhere. I found an embossing powder tool that works like it on Amazon.

The Stampin’ Up! For Unto Us Stamp Set was used inside for the sentiment on both of my Stampin’ Up! Thinking Thanks & Peace cards.

I used the omitting technique to isolate only the dove for inside with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker.

It was easy to get the placement because I can see around the rubber stamp on its clear acrylic block.

Thinking Thanks & Peace along with For Unto Us are great stamp sets to have on hand even if you prefer your handmade Christmas cards to be more elaborate. Clean and simple Christmas cards are a godsend when the time is short to finish your cards.
