I’d love to brag about my beautiful Stampin’ Up! Nested Friends card design, but the truth is all I did was make one of the samples from the January – April 2023 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog.
Did you see this handmade card idea? If you missed it, it’s because it’s at the back of the spring catalog listed with the bundles. There’s a wealth of more inspiration at the back of Stampin’ Up! Catalogs waiting for you to discover!
This handmade card was easier to make than you make think with all the layers and little touches. Here are the steps I used to make the Stampin’ Up! Nested Friends card:
- Stamp and die-cut three of the branch images. Stamp and die-cut the bird image.
- Use the intricate dies to die-cut the nest and leaves. The leaves are cut into pairs making it super easy to add to your greeting card.
- Use Stampin’ Blends (all supplies are pictured below) to color the branches and bird. I always color AFTER the die-cutting is done in case I don’t center the image as well as I’d like.
- Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the nest pieces together. I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the branches, the nest, and leaves. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used for the bird and embossed greeting.
The Nested Friends Bundle is in the spring mini catalog and possibly available now only while supplies last. We’ll know on March 29, 2023. Why risk missing out? Order it now and the other supplies in my online store, www.shopwithshelly.com!

I find birds and animals always make for lovely interesting cards. This is such a sweet card with the blue tones. Thanks for sharing.
They do, don’t they? My pleasure.
