I made it! I completed my first three-day fast!
This morning, I felt a little weak after exercising. I thought, “Rut-ro. Will I make it?” The weakness passed after drinking more green tea. I then plunged into my workday while looking forward to a salad for dinner.
Just a salad? I learned not to break the fast with a big meal. Dr. Berg did and paid for it. Given some thought, I do remember after someone is rescued that hasn’t eaten for days, they need to eat just a little at first. If not, you feel sick. Let’s avoid that. 🙂
Dr. Berg said to follow a salad a couple of hours later with a little protein. We’ll see. That’ll be after nine o’clock. We’ll see if I eat that late or wait for lunch tomorrow.
Tonight I’ll need to floss again. No need for the last couple of days. Another time saver.
I didn’t plan my three-day fast as well as I thought. I needed to be at church when my 72 hours were completed. The upside is that I gott even more benefits of autophagy—my motivation to attempt this.
I wondered how often to do an extended fast. One website indicated one to two months. That sounds reasonable.
The reason to share what I was doing was it may help just one person become healthier. Remember, it took me hearing from a few trusted sources and doing my research for a full year before starting my 18/6 (18 hours off, six-hour window to eat) intermittent fasting.
You do you, I did me!
