Do you like the two-tone flower? It was first inked with a So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pad then the edges rolled in a Poppy Parade Classic Stampin' Pad. This is called the Rock 'n Roll technique.
The Rock 'n Roll technique is fun with such contrasting colors with this flower or more subtle shades of the same color to add dimension.
The flower stem is from the For All You Do stamp set. If the For All You Do stamp set shows up on the Retired Stamp Sets list on April 15, 2012, I will not be surprised at all. I think I will be more surprised if it stays for another year. Not because I don't think the stamp set is just lovely, only because it has been in several catalogs. We will know for sure April 15. The "It's Your Day" greeting going up the side of the flower is from another FREE Sale-a-bration 2012 product, the Outlined Occasions stamp set.
The sweet, little flowers on the stem were made with the flower punch from Itty Bitty Punch Pack. The punched flowers add a little dimension to the handmade greeting card.
Along the bottom of the flower you will find what resembles a fence. One fancy, dancy fence with the stripes from the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. The fence-like edge was created with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. The same punch was also used along the side of the card. Nice coordinating look.
