Last night I made a card for the Stamping Playground with the Stampin’ Up! Corner Garden Stamp Set. And this afternoon made another. I can’t show you the handmade cards because they are for the eyes only of my Stamping Playground Friends.
But before moving on with my card design, I was struck by how pretty the Corner Garden is all by itself. It fills the card with beautiful flowers for a clean and simple card.
After completing my card for the Stamping Playground, I cut several sheets of the 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick Whisper White Cardstock in half with my Stampin’ Trimmer. Making a stack of the single color stamped image will take very little time. I used the top portion of the stamp for my little something something in the lower left corner. And the same for a coordinating Whisper White Medium Envelope.
The Thick Whisper White is perfect for white clean and simple card bases. It’s still the finish of the regular Whisper White Cardstock that is designed for beautifully stamped images but in 100-lb weight versus 80-lb for Whisper White. Sturdy enough for added layers or to stand tall all alone.
Instead of stamping in the same color over and over, I cleaned my stamp with Stampin’ Mist sprayed onto my Stampin’ Scrub. Nice, large area for rubbing back and forth to remove all the ink before using a new color.
My colors? The regal tones of the 2014-2016 In Colors – Blackberry Bliss (pictured above), Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey,
Tangelo Twist and Lost Lagoon.
There’s plenty of room if a greeting is desired or beautiful just as they are. This is quite different from a silver anniversary card I made with the Corner Garden Stamp.
