Clean and Simple Paisleys & Posies Card

This isn’t just a clean and simple card, it’s seriously clean and simple. This clean and simple Paisleys & Posies card is quite striking in its simplicity.

While making a pile of the November Paisleys & Posies thank you cards, a vision of a clean and simple card went through my mind several times. Today I finally sat down to make it.

The stamp set was selected. An important key to attractive clean and simple card is a great color combination. I immediately went to my 2016-2016 In Color Combinations e-book to choose a 3-color combination from the 50 color combinations. My 3-color In Color combination choice was Sweet Sugarplum / Mint Macaron / Early Espresso. Perfect for the handmade greeting card in mind.

The flower and leaves are from the Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set. The flower stamp has a swirl on the stem where you’d normally find a leaf. You don’t see it on my hand stamped greeting card because I omitted it by using a Sweet Sugarplum Stampin’ Write Marker to color only the portion of the stamp I wanted. Cool stamping technique. I then stamped the smallest leaf stamp in the set twice with Mint Macaron Classic Stampin’ Pad ink.

The flower dressed up the already beautiful “In Everything Give Thanks” greeting from the Stampin’ Up! Suite Seasons Stamp Set (25% off through November 30, 2016!).
